Finally! I cannot wait til it comes out, so I could hear the new song "Far Behind". But, what? No "Let It Be Me", "Cold Feelings", "Don't Take Me for Granted" or "1945"?

I have to agree... this is really weak. For the first time ever, I refuse to buy a Social D album. The thing that confuses me the most is... why would they put out a greatest hits album only to quickly follow it with another studio album? What if one of the songs on the new album becomes a hit? Are they gonna release a greatest hits version 2.0? I'll download the new song, but just like everyone else here... I already own plenty of versions of the other songs. It really makes me wonder if they're doing this strictly for the money... knowing that they'll really be screwing the longtime fans by making them buy 10 songs they already own just to get the one new song. What's with the "world tour" as well?... Why do you need a world tour to support a greatest hits album? We've been hearing these songs for 20+ years. Maybe I'm getting more bitter with age, but after being a fan for soooooo many years, I really think we're getting screwed here. I hope Mike makes enough money off this album to buy another hot rod or else he'll have to sell another of his guitars on eBay.
If it will not be re-recorded songs then Live @ The Roxy is more greatest hits than this motherfucker is.
Very dissapointing!
Obviously they cant please everyone with the choice of songs but how many songs!!
The only thing that'd get me to buy it would be if they packaged it up with a DVD full of the promo's.
I'd love to have the promos in good quality.

Greatest Hits are never really for the hardcore fans.
Granted, I wish they put on a few more songs, but it is what it is. For the dieharders, (that's us), the only thing that I could see that would be a must buy is a "special edition" with 1) high quality videos, 2) some rare tracks/ b sides or 3) some high quality live tracks that are not on live at the Roxy. Sell it for a few dollars more, and make a few extra bucks. I would buy it, but I will probably buy the GH if that is all they put out anyway....
Happy to see something new, extremely disappointed in the selection. It's hard for me (on a personal level) to wrap up 17 years of devotion and say, ?those 17 years are best described in these 11 songs". Beggars cannot be choosers though
I hope for the German board members that "worldwide" isn't just a fancy way to say the band was in Canada last week.

"greatest hits"...not...Let It Be Me", "Cold Feelings", "Don't Take Me for Granted" or "1945"? where are they...oh maybe on the next version of the greatest hits record they will undoubtly put out following this record. and tour....wow are Mike and the boys that hard up for cash....? Who actually manages this band and say's "hey this is a great idea Mike" also somebody needs to tell Mike that he has more songs in the catalog other then just Road Zombie Reach for the Sky Highway 101 Prison Bound Mommy's little Monster Nickels and Dimes When She Begins Six More Miles Far Behind Bad Luck Ball and Chain Under My Thumb King of Fools Sometimes I DO Ring of Fire, they have toured these songs into the ground. I have been and will be a faithful supporter of SxDx for more years than I care to remember, but mix it up a little Mike the last several years I've been at shows it's been the "greatest hits" tour PLEASE mix it up!
That is pretty weak, But if you have all the albums then i guess its not big deal. I wonder if the record label current or previous had anything to do with what they could or could not put on the greatest hits? Also, I know sometimes bands will release a greatest hits, dvd, live album etc to get out of their current deal..but i dont think this the case for social d.
Ive seen them play "6 more miles" a couple times, i love that version better than the Under the influences version...it would be cool if they remasterd or re-recorded some of the songs with the organ.
I agree with Deadliner, the greatest hits release isn't for us. It's for the fans of Good Charlotte, Sum 41 or (cough) I Hate Kate (Sorry Love/Pain, had to do it! lol) that haven't been Social D. fans for 10+ years. I don't blame Mike for wanting to make money, but it would have been nice if any creativity had gone into this release. I guess using these songs in every movie trailer isn't enough.
